Yellow Cab Co. of Sacramento is the oldest and largest cab company in the Sacramento area. The locally owned company opened for business in 1917. It has operated under present management since 1951.

Proudly Serving Sacramento Since 1917 The Yellow Cab Company’s main offices and maintenance facilities have been located at 900 Richards Boulevard, Sacramento since 1970. Prior to 1970, the company was located at 1112 I Street in Downtown Sacramento.

LEADING INNOVATION

Yellow Cab was the first cab company in Sacramento to be radio dispatched in 1946. It was also the first cab company in Sacramento to utilize computer dispatching beginning in 1991, and the first to utilize GPS (Global Positioning System) dispatching in 2004.

Union Taxi, Oak Park Taxi, Skyline Taxi, and Skyline Airporter are just a few of the fleets which have operated under Yellow Cab management since 1946.

Yellow Cab’s long history of service in the Greater Sacramento area covers all of Sacramento County including Elk Grove, as well as West Sacramento and Roseville. The dedicated efforts of over 100 drivers and support personnel contribute to the success of the operations.

Yellow Cab has been a member in good standing for many years with the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, Sacramento Hotel Association, Taxicab Paratransit Association of California, and the International Taxicab & Livery Association.
