Yellow Cab Company of Sacramento helps motivated and professional people succeed as self-employed taxicab drivers. Yellow Cab does not employ drivers. However, with decades of experience in the industry, we know professional individuals that know the streets of Sacramento like the back of their hand will likely be successful.

If you’re that type of person, we would like to affiliate with a driver like you. Yellow Cab offers numerous types of service agreements, like owner-operators or lease drivers. Both agreements may include liability insurance and dispatch service. We also offer an orientation and established business experience.

Government imposed driver requirements, include:

• Must be at least 25 years of age;
• Excellent driving record (including no “major traffic violations” in the past 5 years);
• Current California Driver’s license; and
• Each driver is responsible for obtaining a “Taxicab Driver Permit” from the City and County of Sacramento
