We’re the Hyatt Regency’s Preferred Taxi Company

Designed to provide their customers with better transportation services, the Hyatt Regency Sacramento signed an exclusive agreement with Yellow Cab of Sacramento.

From now on there’ll be a line of Yellow Cabs on L Street near the State Capitol.

The Hyatt Regency Sacramento decided they wanted better transportation options for their guests, so they chose to deal exclusively with Yellow Cab Company, Sacramento’s oldest and largest taxi company.

Under the agreement, Hyatt employees will only call Yellow Cab Company of Sacramento drivers when a hotel guest requests a taxi, and only Yellow Cabs will be allowed to park outside the hotel. This is great news not only for hotel guests, but also for anyone who needs a cab near the Capitol.

“We are really excited about the opportunity for this collaboration between the Hyatt Regency and Yellow Cab of Sacramento,” said our Director of Operations Victor Caballero. “As a result, we are able to provide an enhance level of taxi service to the general population at our taxi stand on L Street.”

According to an article in The Sacramento Bee, Hyatt General Manager Scott VandenBerg said the deal with Yellow Cab will improve what has been uneven and at times inadequate service.

“We were finding inconsistencies, broken door handles, trunks with dirty rags in them, ripped car seats,” VandenBerg said. “Some didn’t take credit cards. Some refused to take short trips.”

Hyatt guests won’t have any of those issues with Yellow Cab. We take our job as Sacramento’s ambassadors seriously. We refresh 20% of our cars every year, and the average vehicle age is just 3 years. To ensure our taxis are always safe, clean and comfortable, we have our own service and washing facility.

Plus, our cabbies are local professional taxi drivers who know their way around town. With the new Golden 1 Center arena opening later this year, followed by a hotel and other entertainment venues, millions of people annually will visit Sacramento’s downtown, and our drivers will be at the ready to help avoid parking and driving hassles.

“We are really excited about the new King’s arena here in Sacramento, as well as the potential new MLS team and their arena,” continued Caballero. “We are looking forward to upping the taxi service here for the general public, hoteliers and business community.”
